Installation and instructions for using the Oven
WHAT SHOULD I KNOW BEFORE BUYING THE OVEN:
Consider access the place where you want to install, given that the furnace is one piece; heavy and hard to maneuver.
Measure presented in the oven is the square basis outside.
Counsel with the person who will install and according to the oven model buy accessories; type of insulation and rectify as the the smoke exhaust system will be created according with installation place.
The door and the chimney, exists in two kinds of material.
Iron Zinc - Range economical material that oxidizes over time
Stainless Steel - advised material, more durable, does not suffer from oxidation
Install the oven in a dry, insulated and covered, avoiding exposure to adverse weather conditions.
See the oven weight acquired to ensure that the structure that has is tough to apply and isolate.
Insulation: Around oven build in brick a box to apply the rock wool, expanded clay and sand. This way will maximize and extend the produced heat energy and reduce the consumption of firewood.
In the 1st oven operation, it is essential to drying for removal of residual moisture resulting from the manufacturing process.
How to make?
The drying process is performed in three steps:
1 - Make a small fire (exemple: pine cones and small logs firewood with the door open (and chimney).
2 - Placing burning slowly, so heating is gradual up to 150 ° C at most. Leave approximately 2 hours, until ashes.
3 - Make to repeat the process 2 more times, after a minimum of 8 hours. From the 2nd heating can gradually increase the maximum temperature up to 250oC.
Observe the indicated temperatures for the expansion of the oven to be gradual. Thus avoids possible thermal shocks, which may cause cracks.
Place the firewood in the centre for better functioning. Leave the door open (and chimney).
Let the fire burn slowly, gradually putting the firewood when the wood "be on fire" should distribute it through the interior of the entire oven.
Let burn until the oven dome stay white brick.
Remove the remaining wood. Close the door and the chimney to avoid losing heat.
Use a thermometer to control the temperature. Not passing 350ºc and 250ºc. when burning is maximum temperature used for cooking (temperatures recommended for ovens than 100x100cm. For smaller measures, the temperature are smaller than indicated.)
To light the oven is best to use pine cones, eucalyptus barks and then go on adding branches of trees.
Avoid using green firewood and thick.
Warning and Precautions:
Never use water to lower the oven temperature or extinguish the fire, which may cause damage to the oven.
Do not put too much wood, which leads to sudden heating of the oven and may cause serious damage.
Do not use fuel to ignite the fire as it may contaminate your food.
